Type Locality and Naming

Predominantly terrigenous rocks. Khorezm depression. I.M. Abdurazimova in 1996.

Synonym: Terrigenous Topitsa, Терригенная т.


Lithology and Thickness

Divided into three sub-suites. Upper - siltstone (aleurolites), clays with interlayers of sandstones, with phosphorite pebbles at the base. Thickness up to 80m. Unconformably overlies the middle sub-suite. Middle - sands, sandstones with interlayers of clays and siltstone (aleurolites). Thickness 108-210m. Lower - clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sands, gray sandstones with interlayers of gravelites. Thickness 134-205m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Uzunkuduk-LCret Fm.

Upper contact
